Sony CSL Researchers Giulio Prevedello and Pietro Gravino represent VALAWAI at CCS 2024

At the 2024 Conference on Complex Systems (CCS), Sony CSL (Paris) researchers Giulio Prevedello and Pietro Gravino, as active members of the VALAWAI consortium, were in the spotlight. They presented their research on “The Role of Moral Values in the Social Media Debate,” on how moral values shape online discussions, a critical area within the VALAWAI project’s mission.

“The Role of Moral Values in the Social Media Debate”
The paper, presented by Prevedello and Gravino together with co-authors Emanuele Brugnoli, D. Ruggiero Lo Sardo and Vittorio Loreto, explored the influence of moral stances on the flow of social media discourse. This research is part of VALAWAI’s broader focus on mapping digital behaviour to develop value-aware AI systems for the social networking domain.
